Super Celebrity Rick Warren Rides the Political Beast

Bernard Pyron

I am not sure whether Rick Warren follows classical
dispensationalism,
that is, the two house theory - The Old Testament era sharply
separated from the Christian Church and the claim that very little or
nothing in the OT deals with the Church - and the belief that all Jews
just because they
are Jews are God's chosen people. Warren is still connected with the
Southern
Baptist Convention, though he was born and raised in California.
Because he
has been a Southern Baptist, I would not be surprised if he does not
still believe
in some form of dispensationalism.

Rick Warren compromises with the world all over the place. He holds a
doctor's
degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in California, an outfit
known to
promote the integration of pop and clinical psychology with Christian
doctrine. Warren may be influenced by Robert Schuller. He seems to
speak out of both sides of his mouth on the subject of psychology as a
Trojan Horse in the Church, both defending it and being critical of
it.

Rick Warren may deliberately avoid revealing any clear Christian
moral, gospel
or prophecy doctrinal positions of his own. On
http://cicministry.org/commentary/issue80.htm
it is said that:

"Rick Warren's gospel is never clearly described. Here is one of his
statements about it: "God won't ask about your religious background
or doctrinal views. The only thing that will matter is, did you
accept what Jesus did for you and did you learn to love and trust
him?" (Warren: 34). But, doctrine does matter because our doctrine of
Christ determines whether we believe in the Christ of the Bible or
the Christ of Mormonism or some other religion."

But what got my attention was Warren's use of networking, the
dialectic process in his small groups, and
his plans to influence and perhaps take over world evangelism. He is
into the use
of marketing techniques in spreading his false doctrines over the
world. And Warren
has joined New Age Occultist Ken Blanchard to sell the P.E.A.C.E.
Plan. See
http://www.inplainsite.org/html/rick_warren_new_age.html#Ken Blanchard

Here is part of what they say on Warren's plan to dominate world
evangelism at http://herescope.blogspot.com/

"When networking is applied to the church a new "organism" is created.
It creates a new "body" with "hands and feet" that can do the will of
one centralized source. This could be achieved by connecting the
technology of a computer database to the literal arms and legs of one
billion "foot soldiers" for a quasi-religious cause of "P.E.A.C.E." It
requires re-formatting the entire global church into a networking
systems "community."

Hence, the emphasis on the small group structure. The small groups –
or "cells" as they are often called – are part of a networking
structure that is top-down. Upon this cellular base, the New Apostolic
Reformation builds a hierarchical authority structure of "apostles"
and "prophets," who claim to be invested with special powers to usher
in heaven on Earth."

"Once the church conforms to the networking structure of global
governance, it is easy to network it into other systems in the
3-legged stool – the Corporate marketplace and the State.

Small group "cells" aren't usually marketed to the church as a
networking plan. Restructuring the church into a small group structure
has been presented as a church relationship-building endeavor that
will produce better results and meet "felt needs." Very seldom has the
top-down nature of the hierarchy been revealed. The people in the pews
have been kept in the dark for several decades about this."

"One of the mantras of the New Age "Aquarian" movement is "think
globally, act locally." As previous posts in this series have
described, the purpose of networking was to transform the world. It
would happen by restructuring the world from the tiny cellular all the
way up to global governance.:

"Marilyn Ferguson, in her book The Aquarian Conspiracy, which "outed"
Theosophy (see previous post), devotes an entire chapter (Chapter 6:
"Liberating Knowledge: News from the Frontiers of Science") to explain
the evolutionary beliefs behind networking systems theory. The basic
premise is that mankind will evolve into a higher order species, and
that man must facilitate and expedite his own evolution. This is
accomplished by several mechanisms:

1. Developing altered states of consciousness such as meditation,
visioning, etc. which opens the brain/mind to the occult.

2. Developing a "systems" worldview; i.e., viewing the entire world as
one great organism.

3. Implementing networking and communal practices that are conducive
to creating this one-world organism of mankind.

4. Changing the physical nature of man: "Evolution may be speeded up
by certain genetic mechanisms. . . " (p. 160)

5. Creating a one-world system of global governance with the promise
of "peace on earth."

Ferguson described the importance of networks in facilitating this
evolutionary leap for mankind:

"The proliferating small groups and networks arising all over the
world operate much like the coalitional networks in the human brain.
Just as a few cells can set up a resonant effect in the brain,
ordering the activity of the whole, these cooperating individuals can
help create the coherence and order to crystallize a wider
transformation."

"Networks are the strategy by which small groups can transform an
entire society."
[Marilyn Ferguson, The Aquarian Conspiracy, (J.P. Tarcher, 1980) p.
214]

Marilyn Ferguson is one of the leaders of the New Age Occult movement
in
America which came on the scene during or shortly after the drug
movement
began in 1962, and the hippie movement, and that part of the
counterculture that
was into far eastern religions, the occult, astrology and witchcraft.
The contemporary New Age Occult came out of the work of Helena
Petrovna Blavatsky
and Alice A. Bailey. Remember that Blavatsky was involved with the
19th centuty English occult revival among the elite, including B.F.
Westcott and Fenton J. A. Hort. Westcott and Hort were the Anglican
apostates who created a Greek New Testament based upon 4th century
texts of Egyptian
origin, which differ in many verses from the Textus Receptus.

Almost all new New Testament translations, like the NIV, are
based upon the Westcott-Hort
Greek text. The few that are not based on it, like the New King
James Version
or Young's Translation, have some problems.

At http://www.biblebb.com/files/tonyqa/tc03-148.htm

they comment on Rick Warren's best selling book, The Purpose Driven
Life.
and say that:

"Rick Warren has stated that you can best understand scripture by
reading as many different translations as possible--this approach
uses many different "opinions" to define the meaning of God's Word
rather than a thorough exegetical study of the verse(s). In
addition, the book presents an abbreviated and inaccurate definition
of the gospel--there is no requirement for "repentance" in his
gospel. But I will say this about the book--it has a great marketing
plan."

For many Baby Christians - and there are few who are not in this
category -
awareness of the huge number of Bible translations that have different
readings for many verses can create confusion. And confusion within
a small
group can be exploited by a trained dialectic facilitator to move
most of the
group to a consensus which is a compromise with the didactic method
of teaching God's truth.

"Small groups are the key to the success of this marketing campaign:"

"Bill Gates is funding Rick Warren's Global P.E.A.C.E. Plan. It seemed
evident, but the supporting documentation was missing. The two men
have been in the same places at the same time, working on the same
things in Africa. So it seemed inevitable that there would be an
outpouring of funds.

"On the Diane Rehm radio show today, broadcasting on National Public
Radio, she interviewed Patty Stonesifer, CEO of the Bill & Melinda
Gates Foundation, the largest grant-making foundation in the world.
What follows is an excerpt that we transcribed while listening to this
interview, 35:36 to 38 minutes into interview:"

Here is what one web site says on the use of the dialectic in Rick
Warrens small groups:
http://www.newswithviews.com/BeritKjos/kjos29.htm

"Today's facilitated small groups or teams are not like the old Bible
studies many of us attended years ago. We discussed the Bible and its
wonderful truths; now people dialogue until they reach an emotional
form of unity based on "empathy" for diverse views and values. In the
past, God's unchanging Word was the ultimate test of right and wrong
and our goal was knowing God's will and aligning our thoughts to His
truth. Now the goal is to bond diverse people into a "family" that
must "respect" all kinds of Biblical interpretations and contrary
opinions—even when conclusions clash with the Bible. The old ground
rules for discussion were based on God's call for agapeo love,
kindness, patience and scriptural integrity. Now they are based on
sophisticated psycho-social guidelines for social change, "relational
vitality," emotional unity and collective synergy.

Sound complex and implausible, doesn't it? That's why Christians are
being drawn into the dialectic process with little understanding of
the real transformation that takes place both in churches and in
individuals who participate in the new "systems thinking" and
"outcome-based" or "purpose-driven" learning process.

"Perhaps the best way to explain this transformation is to show some
of the ways Pastor Rick Warren's small group process matches the
change process outlined in a book titled Leading Congregational
Change. This book, largely inspired by Saddleback's success, gives us
a detailed look at the change process itself. "This is a book you
ought to read before you change anything," said Rick Warren in his
hearty endorsement.

"Leading Congregational Change (LCC) was written by James H. Furr,
Mike Bonem, and Jim Herrington in 2000. Its publisher, Jossey-Bass,
has been working closely both with the Peter Drucker Foundation (now
called Leader to Leader) and the "Christian" Leadership Network
founded by Bob Buford. The latter serves as an international tool for
guiding large churches through the process of "congregational
transformation."

During the last century, this dialectic process based on Georg Hegel's
occult philosophy [link: you have "Popular Occultism" on your site]
was embraced by Marx, Lenin and other socialist leaders. Today it's
the centerpiece of all the world's management systems. It's purpose —
which is not to nurture God's people—is to conform all minds to a
global pattern for uniform "human resource development" in schools,
business, governments and churches around the world. [See "Reinventing
the World, Part 1"]

In LCC, we read: "In a team... a common goal is set. These goals can
only be achieved through the mutual, cooperative efforts of the
members. ... A second distinction... is accountability. ... In a team,
each individual is responsible to the rest of the team."[3, page 131]

In Saddleback terminology, the "common goal" would be the common
"purpose(s)." And in the 40 Days of Purpose study guide, each group
member agrees to be held accountable by signing a "Group Agreement."
It begins with this statement and three points:

"We agree to the following values:"

Clear Purpose: Grow healthy spiritual lives by building a healthy
small group community

Group Attendance: Give priority to the group meeting."

"In order to be "effective," the small groups involved in the 40 Days
of Purpose must be diverse; they must mix more traditional church
member with their invited neighbors and friends who may have no
Biblical knowledge at all. This diversity is essential to the planned
"learning" process. A 1969 report by the Behavioral Science Teacher
Education Program (B-STEP)—a brainwashing program established and
funded by the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare to
build global citizens for a socialist world—included two vital
requirements: broad diversity and continual assessments: "

The dialectic - thesis, then a conflicting antithesis and finally a
synthesis - works
better when the group is composed of people of different beliefs and
outlooks. Group
diversity helps to create the stress caused by the oppostion between a
thesis and its antithesis. The stress created by this oppostion
drives the group
to want to arrive at a compromise or synthesis to lower the stress
level from
the clash of positions. The group facilitator in Rick Warren's small
groups has
probably been trained to make use of this clash of positions and to
lead the
group to his pre-set goal by stealth processes.

While I don't know exactly what Rick Warren's theological teachings
might be on
dispensationalism or other main theologies,
he is clearly an apostate in his use of marketing and social
psychological
group attitude changing techniques. John Hagee is a false prophet
just on the
basis of what he is calling for, to worship the nation of Israel. But
I have not seen
evidence that Hagee is so focused upon the use of marketing and
dialectic
change procedures in small groups as is Rick Warren.

is an organization where the ruling elite meet to discuss the state
of the world

junior organization
to the Bilderbergers.

In commenting on Rick Warren's visit to Syria and Warren's meeting
with Bashar Assad in November of 2006, Joseph Farah at World Net
Daily on http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?

said:

"I really didn't expect to hear back from Warren – but, a few minutes
later, I did, with an absolutely stunning retort.

He let me know he is a close friend of President Bush ''and many, if
not most, of the generals at the Pentagon.''

He also told me he did not tape anything while in Syria, ''because it
was a courtesy call, like I do in every country.''

Warren explained that he had also counseled with the National
Security Council and the White House, as well as the State
Department, before his little courtesy call for a neighbor.

''In fact,'' Warren added, ''as a member of the Council on Foreign
Relations and Oxford Analytica, I might know as much about the Middle
East as you.''

Rick Warren is a Christian super celebrity like Pat Robertson, John
Hagee,
Jerry Falwell and Billy Graham. In his P.E.A.C.E. Plan to run world
evangalism Warren and his followers use terms like "sustainable
development,"
and "public-private partnerships." Like the United Nations, Rick
Warren and Company want to develop partnerships with national and
world government,
as well as with religions other than Christianity, including pagan
religions.

Like John Hagee, Rick Warren the celebrity is forging an alliance with
big government. Warren is creating an alliance also with some
corrupting
influences from marketing and mind control by social psychologists,
educators and other change agents.

Alliances by Christian leaders with government and the world brings up
Revelation 17: 1-5.

"Come hither: I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore
that
sitteth upon many waters. With whom the kings of the earth have
committed
fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk
with the wine
of her fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the
wilderness: and
I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of
blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns...And upon her forehead
was a name written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF
HARLOTS AND
ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."

The woman is apostate religion, or Christianity gone very apostate.
The scarlet
colored beast can have more than one layer of meaning. It is in one
sense
the government beast that rises up out of the sea in Revelation 13:
1-2, where
this beast is a composite of the first three beasts of Daniel 7: 4-6,
the lion with
eagle's wings, the bear and the leopard. In another sense, the beast
is a composite
of the major players of the Fifth and Sixth Trumpet Judgments of
Revelation 9.

So apostate Christianity in the last days will join the government
beast. In this
interpretation, John Hagee and Rick Warren, though in different ways,
are
riding the government beast (which includes the financial elite, the
big corporations, marketing,
and methods from social psychology) and are trying to steer the Beast
in the
direction they want it to go. Hagee wants the American government to
attack
Iran and perhaps other Islamic nations not only to fight wars to
benefit Israel, but also
to bring about World War III, which he and CUFI (Christians United
For Israel)
think will hasten the
dispensationalist rapture. Rick Warren appears to want the
cooperation of
big government, nationally and internationally, in creating his
P.E.A.C.E Plan,
which is Warren's plan to take over and compromise world evangelism.

But lets also look at Zechariah 13: 8-9. "And it shall come to pass,
that in all
the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die;
but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part
through the fire, and will refine
them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they
shall call on my
name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they
shall say. the
Lord is my God." Ezekiel 5: 1-3 and 5: 12-13 deals with this same
division into
three different peoples and adds a fourth small remnant. Isaiah 13:
3 mentions
"I have commanded my sanctified ones." The small remnant of Ezekiel
5 may
be the same as "my sanctified ones" of Isaiah 13. In addition to the
lord's remnant during the Tribulation (Revelation 7: 1- 8, the
sanctified ones of Isaiah
13: 3 could include God's faithful Old Testament prophets who
were given these words by the Holy Spirit.

Zechariah 13: 8-9 and Ezekiel 5: 1-13 are talking about the Kingdom
of God,
the Church in the latter days, and predicting that there will be
three main
groups within the Kingdom, all of whom are in false doctrines when the
Tribulation begins.

In the Trumpet Judgments of Revelation 9, at the Fifth Trumpet the
players who are to torment another group of people (verses 5-6) are
in verses
3 and 5 called locusts and scorpions. Verse 5 explains that the
scorpions
are not given the power to kill the victims, but only to torment
them. Then
in Revelation 9: 13-21, the people who are given the power to kill or
have killed
by the government are said in verse 19 to have tails like serpents.
This group
of Christians who have gone very bad can be called the serpents.
Remember that
in Luke 3: 7 and in oher texts Christ calls the Pharisees a
generation of
vipers, or serpents.

The victims of the scorpions and serpents are the one third in
Zechariah 13: 9
who are refined by being put through the fire. Revelation 9: 18
reveals that one third
of men, that is, one third of the apostate church, are killed, or are
caused to
be put to death. We can call this one-third the Multitude, from
Revelation
7: 9, where they are with Christ. Revelation 7: 14 says they came
out of great
tribulation and have made their robes white in the blood of the Lamb.

This interpretation gives us a different picture of the Tribulation
than that
which the dispensationalists have given us in the last hundred years
or so.
The purpose of the Tribulation is to bring a part of the apostate
Christian
Church through the fire and to refine them so that they become
Christ's
people and will live eternally with him. End time Bible prophecy
focuses upon
God's people, that is, those who claim to be God's people, but who
have mostly
been led into false doctrines by theologies.

When we see Christians being jailed and executed in America for
holding to Biblical beliefs, we can know that the Tribulation has
started,
although there may not have been at that time great calamities of a
physical nature on earth, and in the solar system or stars. We may be
by then in a more developed police state, but much of life will still
go on
sort of normally.

This interpretation adds complexity to the simple view that
Revelation 17: 1-5
that the woman riding the beast is apostate Christians like Hagee and
Warren
and their followers. For before the Multitude awakens and turns to
the truth,
cries out to the Lord and he accepts their cries, they are also
riding the
beast. Perhaps they are just along for the ride and are not trying
to steer
the beast as are Hagee and Warren. And maybe the Multitude is riding
the Beast
like some Christians ride the Westcott-Hort Wrecking Machine of
multitude
translations leading to confusion. They don't know that there are
subtle
differences in doctrine between the King James Version and the new
translations.

Before the Multitude repents of their
false doctrines, they are also in Babylon, with the serpents and
scorpions.
They do not heed the call of Revelation 18: 4 to come out of Babylon,
or false
Christianity, to avoid the plagues to come as punishment for their
defection. Only later, do the
Multitude begin to come out of Babylon. And by that time the Beast
Government is apparently set up to jail and execute Christians for
holding
beliefs considered incorrect, i. e., Biblical, by the religious
leaders, the
end time Pharisees. By that time the end time Pharisees, the
serpents,
will have gone real bad. The Beast is also the composite of the
serpents
and scorpions, led by false prophets and THE false prophet.
